[duplicate] Transcript of Bishop Porter Taylor's Remarks on Preaching in the Time of COVID
During the pandemic, I personally had a tough time trying to understand why things were happening the way they were. I tried to only talk about the positives when we were living in a world where everything seemed almost negative. This sermon was both uplifting and powerful in an attempt to help others understand that we are not alone during this time and accept the good times and the bad times as they are what defines our specific story. -

[duplicate] Christian Response to Coronavirus
Even though this sermon was spoken nearly a year ago its message remains important today. From my view the sermon puts the care of the flock above the importance of the material, its use of fore and background imagery to describe how the pandemic effects us is even more relevant today then when the sermon was delivered. The minister is speaking to the spiritual fears and worries of his congregation and moves to guide them to God, not for answers for the here and now but instead for the continuation and betterment of their relationship with God. Renoe emphasizes the fact that God is endures all alongside us and helps us grow from hardship as opposed to shielding us from it. -

Everyone lives have been impacted differently throughout the pandemic. I personally have been quite lucky and have not lost a loved one from this virus. My worship rituals have changed. I no longer go to mass on Sunday's but instead watch it is my living room with my family. All Bible Studies are over Zoom. Although this pandemic has been terrible I think we have all learned how to adapt and over come some obstacles. Our faith needs to be much stronger in this time of despair. -
