And what had happened that shifted them into this life of behind closed doors was Jesus. Number one was crucified. They thought he would live forever. Some of them, they did not believe, even though he said it, that he was going to die. And when he died, their world was rocked. It was shaken. They were completely perplexed and confused and disoriented. They were behind this, these closed doors because not only had Jesus been crucified, but his body had been taken who would have fought so added to injury. Not only had our Lord been crucified, but now his body could not be found. And they were all in a world of a whirlwind of confusion. And to top it, all the people, the same people that crucified Christ was now looking for them to hurt them, to destroy them as well. And he had an all this I can't help, but think that this hunkering down this hiding was somehow a part of the Lord's plan for them. It was his way of helping them regroup before moving forward. Well, moving forward into what well, moving forward into a more intense and focused dissemination of the gospel.
