Things are breaking loose all around us with unprecedented events happening throughout this world that come with a whole new lexicon. These include “social distancing,” “flattening the curve,” “stay at home,” and, “safe at home.” There are new laws, rules and lawful orders. We have the cancelling of in-person school, empty sanctuaries, cancelling all public sports events, meetings, movies, and concerts. The airports of this country are ghost towns – people have been told to avoid even domestic travel of any kind. This week I went to the doctor’s office and I didn’t even get through the door of the building, before I was stopped, interrogated about that status of my health and my temperature taken.
