Where the wicked man has a cup of wrath to drink (Psalm 75:8, Isaiah 51:17), we have a cup of salvation (Psalm 116:13). Everything that they drink out of their cup is to prepare them for the great day of wrath, and everything that we drink out of our cup God has deemed necessary to bring us home to glory. So, we can say, with complete consistency, that the existence of this COVID-19 pandemic is the wrath of God on the children of disobedience, and it is simultaneously a great blessing and mercy toward His elect.
