as we tape this August 26th, we're counting the days of smoke and wondering how long the fires will burn. We also seem to be counting up the bodies of young black men who are being murdered by our police. When will that end, and how many hours, minutes, or days will it be till hurricane Laura and hurricane Marco strike land? it's a bit of a cross-current striking, excuse me, it's a bit of a cross-current tracking. so many things are counting up and counting down simultaneously.
