Silver lining: Blessed, grateful, or upbeat about the pandemic

The image of our fates being written in some big book and then sealed entered our brains before we were able to understand a metaphor, or perhaps taught by a teacher who was lacking the ability to grasp metaphor saying that our future is written and sealed is a poetic way of saying we do not know. We cannot know our own future; it's hidden from us. we're all here to see the new year arrive, but we don't know what lies ahead of us in the new year.
