t’s no wonder, then, that entire counties, entire states, entire countries—by some measure, the entire world—have so eagerly and voluntarily given up their most deeply cherished freedoms in the hopes of being spared from this 2 disease. Think of the lengths we’ve been willing to go to. No access to our workplace, no schools, no restaurants, no gyms, no beaches, no hiking trails, no parks. No leaving the house even for essentials without masks—masks which are in so much demand in the medical field that we’ve had to make our own. We’ve basically accepted being consigned to house arrest!
