and Jesus answered and said to them, see to it that no one misleads you, for many will come in my name saying, I am the Christ and will mislead many. You will be hearing of Wars and rumors of Wars. See that you are not what frightened see that you are not frightened. The Bible says for those things must take place, but that is not yet. The end for nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. And in various places, there will be famines and earthquakes, but all these things are merely the beginning of birth pains. This is what Jesus said. So let's pay attention, very close attention to what he said. He said the same thing in Luke chapter 21 and verse 11, Luke chapter 21 and verse 11, Luke 21 and verse 11. The Bible says: then he continued by saying to them, nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be great earthquakes. And in various places, plagues and famines, and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven. So this is what Jesus said. So his statements to his disciples is in regards to signs of the last days. And he was actually in both places. He was actually applying these words of Matthew 24 and Luke 21 to a combination of events, to combination of events, signs of the newness of his coming, the destruction of Jerusalem, and of course, the end of the world. Now, back in Matthew 24, the best manuscripts don't contain the word plagues or pestilence King James version, new King James version includes those words. But a lot of the Bibles don't include that word in Matthew 24, a Plager pestilence, but that word is included in Luke chapter 21. And of course the word pestilence figure the, you means a pest. It's something that you don't want. It's just the past go away. So here's what Jesus is saying in these verses, for sure he's saying that there will be pestilences or plagues in various places. That's what Jesus said. And we can bank on that. Now, whether this means a world wide pandemic. In other words, I think right now it's affected 190 countries. Whether what Jesus meant is that it's going to be a worldwide pandemic happening, or there'll be a pestilence over here and a different pestilence over here and a different one over here, he doesn't really say, he just says that there will be pestilences in plagues. Now this particular plague or pestilence COVID-19 is one plague, it's one pestilence, and it's worldwide
