What if somebody started slandering them? What would an unbeliever's response be then? I'm going to do that person any good. What about the Christian? What kind of hope does it take to do good to those that persecute you? What kind of hope does it take to submit to a corrupt government? Tell me what kind of hope does that take? What kind of hope does it take to love someone that hates you? Matthew chapter five, verse 44, and that despises you and despitefully uses you. And yet you're called to love them. What kind of hope does that take the non-Christian doesn't have that hope. And at some point that good is going to fail because it's just man centered. But the hope of the Christian is not in something created. It's not in some worldly, hope it's in the risen Christ and therefore beloved God's glory is more clearly seen.
